History & stats

Review every taken, skipped, or missed dose, see your adherence, and correct mistakes.

The History tab

The History tab keeps a record of every dose — taken, skipped, or missed. It covers the active profile only.

There are two views: Summary and List. Tap either label to switch.

Summary view

The Summary shows your adherence rate as a percentage, plus a count of:

  • Taken — doses you marked as taken
  • Skipped — doses you marked as skipped
  • Missed — doses where the cut-off time passed with no action
History Summary view showing an adherence rate of 93% with counts of Taken 83, Skipped 4, and Missed 2, and a separate As-Needed card counting 5 doses taken
The Summary view. As-needed doses are counted separately and never affect the adherence rate.

The adherence rate is based on scheduled doses only. As-needed doses are not included in the percentage.

List view

The List view shows each dose in order, grouped by day. You can see exactly what happened and when.

The List view. Each row shows the medication, dose, time due, and what happened.

As-needed doses appear alongside scheduled ones, marked with a Taken as Needed badge.

History works the same way for every profile — switch profiles and the tab shows that profile's record.

Dose details and correcting mistakes

Tap any row in the List view to open the dose's detail screen. It shows the full picture — when the dose was scheduled, what happened, when, and how it was logged (from the app, a notification, or manually) — plus an action history of every status change.

Marked the wrong thing? Change the dose's status right here — for example, flip an accidental Skip back to Taken. The correction is recorded in the dose's action history, so the audit trail stays honest.

Every dose has a detail screen with its full story — and the ability to correct it.

What "Missed" means

A dose is marked Missed when the cut-off time passes and you haven't tapped Take or Skip. PillBox stops sending reminders at that point.

You can change the cut-off time in Settings ("Stop & mark missed after").

As-needed medications are never marked Missed — they have no scheduled time.
